The accepted side to wear a poppy is the left, as practiced by Canadian Military, however, it is not considered offensive to wear a poppy anywhere else on your body. The fact you are wearing one is what counts. Lest we forget. Male or female...left or right handed...the poppy must be worn on left side...as in above the heart.

you should be able to wear a fresh live poppy for two days before they start wilting, if you are talking about the plastic poppy for the holiday you can wear it on the celibration day, put it on the grail of your car, put it on hats, coats, wreaths ......
