People who don't know this must not know up from down. Especially, when they are them selves. Shame on them!
people who are only 1/4 white but the rest of them is black are consitered black. It's that simple, they are not biracial or multiracial. Biracial people are people that are 50/50 in blood and multiracial people have more then 3 races in them. So if a biracial(black/white) has children with a white person it's either that kid is consitered white or biracial but if that biracial person has children with a black person, those children are black. Once you have 75% or more black blood in you you are black. For example Barack Obama daughters are in this category, those children are black girls with 25% white blood in them, and grow up as black women, which they are. So unless that biracial person marrys someone of another race, that's when the kids will be called multiracial. But also take into consideration that almost all blacks in the U.S. with slave ancestry have some white blood in them.
Biracial means having two races, i.e. white and black. Multiracial means having multiple races, i.e. 1/4 black, 1/4 white, and 1/2 latino.
W.E.B. Du Bois's notion of the "color line" refers to the social and economic divisions created by racial discrimination, primarily between Black and white individuals. In this context, the terms biracial and multiracial highlight the complexities of identity that arise from having parents of different racial backgrounds. These identities can challenge the rigid boundaries of the color line, as biracial and multiracial individuals often navigate multiple racial and cultural affiliations. Thus, their existence calls into question the binary nature of racial categorization that Du Bois critiqued.
Because biracial (both black & white) men in America for the most part are treated for the most part as black men because majority of the time they look black so their are judged as black men. So when a Biracial (black/white) man is with a white woman, they are not seeing a biracial man with a white women, but a black man with a white women, so people label them as an interracial couple. On the other hand, when they are with a black woman, nobody sees the difference, since both are judged as black; they are considered a black couple, not an interracial couple.
A half-white and half-black child is called a Multiracial.

No, because there is no such thing as "biracial". She is a non white person that identifies as black. Yes, she is in fact a product of two different races. She is African American and Native American.
His mother is white and his father is black
The child will be biracial, with a mix of both Black and White ethnicities. The child's race would be considered multiracial or mixed race.
Most of the time, yes, because she looks White. However, she is really multiracial (white mother/biracial Black/White Hispanic father).

yes he is.but he hangs around black people.
You mean mixed, as in biracial? If so, yes. His mother is white and his father is black.
Lionel Richie is a Afro American simply because he African American and he has a afro.
No, most Black individuals are not biracial. The majority of Black people identify as having African ancestry exclusively. While there are biracial individuals within the Black community, particularly in regions with diverse populations, they represent a smaller segment of the overall demographic. The experiences and identities of Black individuals are varied and cannot be simplified to biracial status.
A biracial child is neither black nor white. They are both.
