It's because of the way Saturn's weather works and how it's atmosphere is constructed. Some of the bands are cold air descending while others are warm air rising. Because Saturn is composed of more than one type of gas the warm air currents bring heavier gasses that are a different color to the surface.

Jupiter is the planet with prominent stripes, known as belts and zones, caused by its fast rotation and unique atmospheric dynamics.

How many stripes does the planet Saturn have?

Saturn is a gaseous planet. The brightly colored stripes seen on the surface of Saturn are different cloud layers (ammonia ice, ammonium hydrosulfide, and water ice). The ordering of the colours is Red, White, Brown, and Blue as you move inward toward higher temperatures - the reddish regions are the coolest and they sit highest up in the atmospheres. So the "number" of stripes will continually vary.

Which planet has stripes all over its face?

Jupiter has. (Also Saturn has, but not so obvious as Jupiter).

What best why you see horizontal stripes in photographs of Jupiter and Saturn?

Horizontal stripes on Jupiter and Saturn are caused by fast-moving jet streams in their atmospheres. These bands of clouds are created by the planet's rapid rotation and heat distribution mechanisms, leading to alternating belts of lighter and darker cloud formations.

Why do you see horizontal stripes in photographs of jupiter and saturn?

The horizontal stripes seen on Jupiter and Saturn are actually bands of clouds in their atmospheres. These bands are caused by different wind speeds and directions at different latitudes. The different cloud compositions and altitudes create variations in color and appearance along these bands.
