History tends to repeat itself because many people are not taught or told how or why mistakes were made in history. Because of this, we tend to do the same things that were done previously. This causes a constant repeat of history.

Even if things seem the same they are not because their are too many factors in each event of life that can greatly influence the outcome of any event. We can not learn from history specifically from events but we can use history to learn about the human condition and how we try to manage our problems. But we cannot simply justify an event with another event.
