Lack of love and understanding that a man should be free to worship who or what they may. Lack of understanding for a persons freedom of choice. There will always be discrimination while men try to force others to do their bidding instead of letting them follow the dictates of their own hearts.

He was a Quaker and had been put in jail for his religion and had been discriminated against.
The opposite of religious freedom is religious oppression, where individuals are denied the right to practice their faith or are forced to adhere to a specific religion. This can manifest through laws, policies, or societal pressures that restrict or punish religious expression and beliefs. Such an environment stifles diversity, promotes intolerance, and can lead to persecution or discrimination against certain religious groups.
Religion doesn't automatically imply discrimination, though religion has been used as a reason for discrimination AND for fighting against discrimination. It all depends on the actual person, not all religious people are 'for discrimination', and not all non-religious people are against discrimination.
Religion is the biggest institution that is devided in their way of teaching. They have forgotten that the Bible teaches that God made all nations out of one man. The Book of Acts 17: 26 reads: "And he made out of one man every nation of men to dwell on the entire surface of the earth." That scripture has two messages. 1.We all come from the same source. We all have the right to live on the entire surface of the earth. All humans are equal before God. Read Acts 10: 34,35 . So the Bible does not glorify any particular ethnic group or nationality above others. 1 Peter 2: 17 teaches us to honour men of all sorts. So to answer your question, which is " How can we stop discrimination by religious?, I suspect you meant by religion Religions have put aside the Bible a long time ago and have further their own philosophy of life, with the results that are written in the Book of 2 Timothy 3: 1-5 in these words. "For men/women will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, no natural affection, not open to any agreement, without self-control, and so forth..... God made it possible for mankind to comprehend his word the Bible. It is the only Book that has been through a lot of turmoil and has survived, because it is God's will and way to communicate with mankind. It is the only Book that can teache us about our past, present and future. 2 Timothy 3: 16,17 tells us that the Bible is beneficial for teaching and setting things straight, so that we can become fully competent completely equipped for ever good work. Relying on a religion made by men, instead of relying on God's word the Bible, can only mislead us. Here is what you can read in Proverbs 3: 5 " Trust in Jehovah God with all your heart, And do not rely on our own understanding". Psalm 146 3 reads. " Do not put your trust in princes (religious or political leaders) Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation". Discrimination has nothing to do in a heart educated by the Most High Jehovah God. Psalm 37: 29 shows us what our future holds, in these words. " The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it. Daniel 2. 44; 2Peter 3: 13 shows that we are awaiting something new, where righteouness is to dwell.
