he discovered America. Christopher Columbus was a flawed hero. Columbus was a villain who turned into a hero, because he was the first human to discover America the natives lived there, but never discovered it.

Some think he is. He is not because within 20 years, 90 percent of the native ulation died out because of diseases brought from Europe to the Americas. The Americans didn't have immunities, like the British, because this was the first time they were exposed to small pox. and people don't call people "heroes" a lot. i think he is not cause he isn't the first to descover America. it was a Chinese guy, and he called the "Natives" the "Indians" and also after he found out the place, havoc was caused and a lot of people died.
