Baron Von Steuben was n aristocrat from Geremany who came to America to help the rag tag American army. General George Washington welcomed him and asked for his help in training the young farm boys who made up his small army. Von Steuben brought with him the skills in martial discipline and drills that trained these soldiers how to foght as an army. Through his efforts after the Battle of Trenton, the young American army became a well trained martial force that won battles against the British Army. Von Steuben's drilling and training of the army helped General Washington to win the Revolutionary War.
