The Spanish colonization is not ignored in history books. I have been teaching US history for 25 years and each year have started the year with the Spanish colonization. Some state textbooks have adopted a revision of history that is not factually correct and may not include parts of US history because of views of the writers of the books. It is up to the teacher and the students to recognize when a textbook is incorrect and correct the history. Even the best researched books will have mistakes, but it is on the teacher to learn all he/she can about what is being taught in that subject. History is a vast subject and requires continual reading and research to understand and to be able relay the subject correctly. I never stop learning history or reading the works of various authors to try to get a full understanding of history.

What were the weaknesses of the American colonization society?

The American Colonization Society (ACS) faced several weaknesses, including a lack of broad support among both white abolitionists and African Americans, as many viewed colonization as a means to remove free blacks rather than address the issues of slavery. Additionally, the society's primary focus on resettlement in Liberia often ignored the complexities of racial integration and the rights of African Americans in the U.S. Furthermore, the ACS struggled with funding and logistical challenges in establishing and maintaining a viable colony in Liberia. These factors ultimately limited its effectiveness and appeal.

The Proclamation Act of 1763 was issued by the English Parliament to colonial America. It forbade the colonists from settling west of the Appalachian Mountain Range. It was caused by various conflicts and violence with the Indians, particularly Pontiac's Rebellion (1763-1766). It was largely ignored and the colonists continued to move west and displace the Indians
