Depends on who you ask. The Relativist will say that it will end in 125 billion years or so, when no particle will have any other particle in its future (including light). The Solar scientist will say that all life will end on Earth in about 5 billion years, when the Sun becomes a red giant. A Christian will say various things, but some of them will say when the Earth drops into a sea of fire. Estimations of "when" vary too. Personally, I figure it will end when we pass a tax law just a few more pages thick. But then it is not waiting for some end, but experiencing the now that is most important. We won't get out of this "sky dive" alive anyway... but we can always do more than Nature seems to allow. Maybe our progeny will get the chances we can't.
Never.
The world is supposed to end in at least another 3-5 Billion Years.
According to the Mayans, the world will end. Just like the other 20 times the world was supposed to end.
go to space and live there
The end of the world is not a fabrication but a promise to mankind from God. As to when it will happen, nobody knows and we are not supposed to know. We are supposed to live our lives in readiness so as not to be caught unaware.

No 2012 is not real.
2012 is supposed to be the year the world ends... but of course the world has supposed to have ended several times.
No The world will not end for at least another 3-5 Billion Years.
As the world did not end in 2011 the exact time and date is immaterial.

When was it supposed to have ended? No. If it had we wouldn't BE here now would we? ;)
