I think the voting age should be lowered to 16 because it gives 16 year olds to express their thoughts about society. Because some say that 16 year olds are asking for trouble well they arent. As they say in the old days, denying man to vote is denying them the right to say their part in civilian government
I think that the voting age should be lowered to 16 because they are the people that are affected by the decisions made by the president, and also it could have a bigger impact on society and actually get people to vote! Based on the last election, I think it should be 20...
Younger people voting. Congress lowered the national voting age to 18. In the 26th Amendment, the minimum age was set at 18 for both state and national elections. It was ratified in July 1971. It should be noted that the 26th Amendment allows for states to lower the voting age to 17 or even 16, if they so wish.

In Austria the age has been reduced from 18 to 16. In most other European countries the voting age remains at 18.
Britains become of age at 18. This would probably mean that they are allowed to vote at this age.

no because 16 year olds don't take voting seriously

Most 16 year old people in the US are still in high school. They do not have the understanding to make a voting decision. And, there are no people or groups in the US even thinking about having 16 year old persons voting.
Is there any evidence that 16-year-olds are less responsible than 18-year-olds?

No its good enough as it is
"Should the voting age be lowered to 16?" "Is homework beneficial for students' learning?" "Should college athletes be paid for their participation?" "Is social media more harmful or helpful for society?"

Lowering the Driving AgeSome believe it should be lowered to 14 and 8 months to get your license and that you should be able to determine when to take drivers training. Others even believe the driving age should be lowered to age 11. Views about this are likely divided by age. Those who would benefit from a lower driving age are likely to believe it should be lowered, but those who already have their license are likely to disagree.
Kansas has set the age of consent at 16. That is already the lowest in the United States. I believe it is too low and should be 18 years of age, at least.
