It called for the establishment of a 100 sq mi settlement along the coast in between what is now Cape Fear to the Long Island Sound, eventually setting up shop on the James River at Jamestown, Virginia. In 1609 with the dissolving of the Plymouth Colony they would gain the land originally shared the land between the 34th and the 40th parallels, eventually expanding once again in 1612 to include the Territory of Bermuda. The company would go on for another 12 years before their charter was revoked by King James I turning it into the Royal Colony of Virginia.
