It was so important because it gave more and more americans jobs, even the ones without "qualifications" as the work was brought to the man not the man brought to the work. cars were being produced at a rate of one per 90 seconds and therefore suppliers that supplied the Ford company with tyres etc got paid well and so therefore america was booming. and more and more people could afford cars and so petrol/gas stations became more frequently used and so more people were needed to work there aswell. it gave more and more people the chance to live a good life.
