The first ever official meeting of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was held on April 6, 1830 in the home of Peter Whitmer Sr. in Fayette, Seneca County, New York. This was on a Tuesday, and was more of an organizational meeting than a worship service. The first worship service was held on April 11, 1830 in the same place, with about 30 people in attendance.
