The 70's received the "spill over" from the 60's. People living in the 60's & 70's, if they were age 60 thru 70, had been born in 1900 or the 1890's. That particular age group of US Citizens had lived thru the horse and buggy days, out-side bathrooms (out houses), NO air conditioning, NO refrigerators, NO TV's, NO modern appliances of today. That age group was raised by parents who had settled the US Frontier on HORSEBACK.

Now, take that age group of United States Citizens, and move them through the evolution of automobiles, propeller driven airplanes, JET powered airplanes, space vehicles, LANDING A MAN ON THE MOON, deep sea underwater exploration submarines, fighting wars in the SKY (World War I & World War II), THE ATOMIC BOMBS, the Korean & Vietnam Wars, and Assassinations of US Presidents & Senators, and other political leaders; those people and their children (you & I) are going to experience "some disillusionment."

To give you an idea of "TIME TRAVELLING": Libby, the wife of LTC George A. Custer, who died at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876, lived to see airliners and WWII.

Jose, wife of famed frontiersman & lawman, Wyatt Earp, lived to see airliners and WWII. Both of these "frontierswomen" lived into the modern automobile era. Wyatt Earp himself, drove an automobile and made a living selling real estate in Los Angeles, dying in 1929.

Change is constant; but it can also take it's toll.
