The Boy Scouts were founded in 1907 by Robert Baden-Powell in the UK to promote outdoor skills, citizenship, and character development among young boys. The Girl Scouts, established in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low in the U.S., aimed to empower girls through leadership, community service, and outdoor activities. Both organizations sought to foster values such as teamwork, self-reliance, and responsibility, while providing a supportive environment for youth development.

Boyscouts is a year round thing! If you are interested in joining a troop you can look on the BSA website for a troop in your area. When you consider joining make sure that they are fairily active, led by the boys(as it is supposed to be), and go on regular campouts.
How about the boyscouts for their campfires... Or a local church group that goes on missionary trips?
