The AF would take you if you had a skill they were seeking. It also depends on what the end strength is for that year in that AFSC (MOS) and how recruiting is going for the field you are in. Of course you would have to have evaluations and so on, but the AF would take you if they needed you for a specific job. You can bet your behind that if you spoke Arabic, or had a real specialized skill set that was hard to come by, and you had a clean record that you could come on board.

When I was in the AF I met a nurse who was a former marine, finished his enlistment, went to college/nursing school, and then came into the AF as a nurse - it can happen.
