What happened after signing up in World War 1?

The question does not specify, but if you signed up in the US Army for WW1, it probably went something like this: 1) After receiving your physical examination, you stood in line to receive an olive drab uniform with puttees (strips of cloth to keep your pants legs tight around your boots). The uniform does not fit, so you exchange it with someone else for the right size. You also receive a felt campaign hat like Smokey the Bear wears, but later you will receive a British steel helmet, aka a tin lid. Don't worry about this one. One size fits all. 2) You sleep in a barracks with the other recruits, eat lousy food, and every day you awake early to train for war. You are given a Springfield M1903 rifle, and you learn how to shoot with it. You also receive a bayonet which, when fixed to the rifle is about twelve inches shorter than the German rifle with bayonet, so bayonet training will be intensive. Again, don't worry. Bayonets are a tradition left over from the past. The machine gun dominates the Western Front, and you'll probably never get close enough for a bayonet action with the Hun. 3) You'll also receive other equipment that you will need: canteen, gas mask, ammunition belt, and the worst, most uncomfortable backpack ever invented. Some genius decided that your bayonet scabbard should be attached to the side of the backpack instead of hanging from your ammo belt, and it is so long that you can't pull it from the scabbard. Your buddy will have to pull it for you, and you'll pull his. Relax. You'll probably never need it except to open a can of food. And don't worry about German bayonets. A German bullet or artillery shell will probably get you first. 4) Your training is finished very quickly, as your country had tried to avoid involvement in this war until the last minute, but now everything is rushed. You then admire yourself in your uniform, say goodbye to your loved ones, and board your ship to go Over There.

Will a bayonet fit on a Deawoo DR-200 rifle?

A bayonet designed for the standard AK-47 may fit on a Daewoo DR-200 rifle, as the DR-200 is based on the AK platform and shares similar dimensions. However, compatibility can vary based on the specific bayonet model and the mounting mechanism. It's important to ensure that the attachment points align properly for secure fitting. Always verify with the manufacturer or a knowledgeable gunsmith for the best results.

Will Pentax smc lenses fit a Nikon camera?

No, unless you make an adapter for it. Surprisingly, the Nikon bayonet lens will fit the Pentax K body. Only loosely. Infinity is incorrect but if you handle it carefully, you can take a picture with it.

Can you mount a GI Desert M-10 Bayonet to and m-4 carbine?

Any AR bayonet will work, but civilian "Mforgeries" typically can't properly mount a bayonet. The M4 has a 14.5 inch barrel. Civilian models have a 16 inch barrel, in order to be compliant with the NFA. Yet, they don't adjust the position of the bayonet lug, so the end result is that the mounting rin on the bayonet is too far back to fit around the flash suppressor. A mid-length with an 18" barrel will properly mount a bayonet, as will a regular configuration AR with the 20" barrel, but the only way you'll properly mount one on an Mforgery is is you have the 14.5 inch barrel with a permanently pinned and welded flash suppressor or muzzle brake which brings the total barrel length to 16" (and there are some made for this purpose - a regular A2 birdcage will not do it).

Where can you get a fake bayonet for your airsoft rifle?

List of World War 2 weapons of the US?

M1 Garand: Standard-issue rifle. It was the official weapon of the US Marines during WWII. M2 Thompson: The "Tommy Gun" was a submachine gun used by paratroopers because of it's effectiveness in close combat and its small size. M1/M1A1 Carbine: Like the Thompson, the M1 Carbine was used as a paratrooper rifle because of its small size and large ammunition capacity (an average M1 Carbine could hold 15 rounds). BAR: The BAR was used in WWI as well. It was a standard-issue, light machine gun used by demolition crews. Browning M1919 HMG: The Browning M1919 was used in WWI, but saw little use. It was used on tanks, airplanes--pretty much anything the US could fit it on, including infantry with good muscles! Springfield M1903: The Springfield was soon replaced by the M1 Garand, because it had the same power, but the Springfield was bolt-action, as the Garand was automatic. M2 Flamethrower: The M2 Flamethrower was the common infantry flamethrower of the Pacific Theater, although it was available by special request in Europe. Since the Japanese would usually hide in caves to keep themselves safe from naval artillery, US troops would shoot a stream of fire into caves to either burn them out, or the fire would use up oxygen and the Japanese would suffocate.

How do you put on a vx2100 bayo ring on a century optics mk1 fisheye so it can fit on a vx2100?

To attach a Century Optics MK1 fisheye to a VX2100 using a bayonet ring, first, ensure the fisheye's bayonet ring is aligned with the camera's lens mount. Gently slide the fisheye onto the camera's lens mount while aligning the notches on the bayonet ring. Once aligned, rotate the fisheye clockwise until it securely clicks into place. Make sure it's firmly attached before using the camera to avoid any damage.

Are springfield xd and xdm magazines interchangable?

No, Springfield XD and XDM magazines are not interchangeable. While both series are designed by Springfield Armory and share some similarities, their designs differ in dimensions and features. As a result, using an XD magazine in an XDM or vice versa can lead to feeding issues or may not fit properly. Always use the magazine specifically designed for your firearm model to ensure reliable performance.

Why is there not a white castle in springfield Missouri?

We are still trying to preserve the pristine clean air of the ozark mountains and plateau. The gaseous residue caused by the belly bomber just don"t fit. The real reason is in 1934 White Castle Janitorial started doing business in Springfield Mo. and the owner C W Christman blocked them from coming to town.
