I would likely admire Davy Crockett for his adventurous spirit and resilience as a frontiersman and folk hero. His dedication to principles like bravery and independence is inspiring, and his involvement in significant historical events, such as the Alamo, showcases his commitment to his beliefs. However, I might also find his views and actions reflective of the complex and often problematic nature of American expansion during his time, which could lead to a more nuanced perspective on his legacy.
Davy Crockett met James Bowie and William B. Travis during the lead-up to the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. Crockett arrived in San Antonio, Texas, where he joined the Texian forces defending the Alamo. Bowie and Travis were already prominent leaders in the Texian resistance, and their shared commitment to the cause forged a camaraderie among the three men as they prepared to face the Mexican army. Their meeting exemplified the unity of various figures in the fight for Texan independence.

They met to discuss the terms under which the Soviet Union would enter the war against Japan.
Nowadays, pretty well anything. I haven't met any lords lately, but I met Lord Queensbury in the 1960s, you would not have known he was anything special by his manner of dress.
She was kind, honest, and accepting of having his assistance.
I met him in 1988 at his concert he performed in Texas at Palo Duro Canyon State Park Ampitheater. I asked him if he was related to Davy Crockett out of curiosity. He told me YES he was, and how related. It's been 20+years since then, and I can only remember he said "yes". I was told he never talks about it unless asked, as he doesn't like to brag about it.

Crockett was a major mover- and shaker on the Western Frontier- as the Disney film and other stuff maintain. originally from Tennesee, he was also involved in politics and died at the battle of the Alamo in l836. Crockett was a much younger man than the related historically Daniel Boone- and as far as is known they never met. Boone is noted for opening up the Cumberland Gap, the settlement of Kentucky- Indian fighting as with Mr. Crockett, and both knew how to handle the muzzle-loading rifles of the day, popularily called Kentucky rifles though most were made in PA. Very few have been found actually fabricated in Kentucky! Both pioneers wore the popular Coonskin cap and the actor Fess Parker played both roles- don"t draw unless you aim to shoot! was a popular Frontier maxim- in other words- don"t fire blanks aiming to deceive. well he was in Politics, as a congressman.
