The Knight of the Garter award?
A blue garter fell from the leg of Joan of Salisbury while she was dancing with King Edward III on April 23, 1349. Some of the surrounding courtiers smiled, apparently in Schadenfreude,because they took it for an emblem of witchcraft, for which Joan could have been put to death. But Edward astounded them by putting the garter around his own knee and declaring "Honi soit qui mal y pense!"
