∙ 13y agoAbout 5'6" or less. There were exceptions, as Julius Caesar was 6'0" which was very tall for a Roman. The soldier-emperor Maximinus was 8'0" but he was of Thracian descent. The movies often portray the Romans as giants, but they were not a tall people, and they almost always faced enemies who were taller.
