Richard I of England, later to be know As Richard the Lion Heart was one of three Kings who went on the Third crusade. The Other two were Phillip II of France and Fredeick Barborossa of Germany. The latter never made it two the holy land because he died on route after ironically drowning in a river. This was a great blow to the total crusader force because because Barborossa's army represented the greatest proportion of the total number going on the crusade. Many people did not go on the crusade, such as women, children, the old and sick because these people like on the first crusade were not invited in the Papal Bull launched in 1188 by Pope Gregory VIII in response to the fall of Jerusalm in 1187.
The Third Crusade (1189-1192) was led primarily by three prominent monarchs: Richard the Lionheart of England, Philip II of France, and Frederick I Barbarossa of the Holy Roman Empire. The crusade was launched in response to the capture of Jerusalem by Saladin in 1187, aiming to reclaim the city and restore Christian control in the Holy Land. Each leader brought their own armies and resources, motivated by a combination of religious fervor, political ambition, and the desire for glory. Ultimately, Richard the Lionheart emerged as the most notable figure of the crusade, achieving significant victories despite not recapturing Jerusalem.
The three primary Crusades are commonly referred to as the First, Second, and Third Crusades. The First Crusade (1096-1099) aimed to reclaim Jerusalem from Muslim control and resulted in the establishment of several Christian states in the Holy Land. The Second Crusade (1147-1149) was launched in response to the fall of the County of Edessa but ended in failure. The Third Crusade (1189-1192), prompted by the capture of Jerusalem by Saladin, saw notable leaders like Richard the Lionheart and resulted in a treaty that allowed Christian pilgrims access to the city.

SALADIN AND king RICHARD WERE AGAINST EACH OTHER IN THE THIRD CRUSADE
The journey of the Crusades varied significantly depending on the specific expedition and the route taken. For example, the First Crusade (1096-1099) took approximately three years from the initial call to arms to the capture of Jerusalem. Other Crusades, like the Fourth Crusade (1202-1204), had different timelines and objectives that influenced their duration. Overall, these journeys could range from several months to several years, depending on various factors such as travel conditions and military engagements.
They're actually birds, not ducks. There are three birds in each of the first and fourth "quarters" and the group of three represents the Holy Trinity. The Cadillac symbol comes from an actual coat of arms dating back to the Crusade.
One fourth is a quarter and three fourths is three quarters so tehrefore three fourths is bigger.
Um... Three one eighth teaspoons do not equal a three fourth teaspoon. Think about it. Three one eighth teaspoons equal three-eighths and three-eighths are not equivalent to a three fourth teaspoon.
