Roman citizens living in the City of Rome usually lived in apartment like buildings. The more wealthy you were (this wealth being relative of course, the actual rich people lived in private homes or mansions) the lower in the building your apartment was. The poorest of the poor (not on the streets) lived at the top of the building, under a thin, leaky roof, and with the birds. Done by Brian Carlson age 16
