Pm the more praftical side, huge meteoric rocks- some pitted from atmospheric friction, were discovered by the Peary party and were eventually taken to the natural History museum where they can be observed on special Toledo Scales, some weigh as much as a truck ( l6 tons) heavy reality, but no eight-horse, err, reindeer sightings.
