Spain does not have a big meal on Christmas Day. They have a big meal on Christmas Eve then celebrate through most of the night. They also have a big meal on Three Kings Day (Epiphany) which is on January 6th. Traditionally, a ring shaped pastry is served on that day called el rosco de reyes. It has little trinkets hidden inside along with a fava bean. The person who gets the piece of pastry with the bean inside is in charge of the rosco for the following year. The person who finds the special trinket will be the king or queen of the house for the day.
