You really shouldn't ask. I am throwing a birthday party for my mother. She is turning 70. I plan on having a table with an artificial plant similar to a tree and have pins and ribbons at the base. You can put a little write up as to what it is and the custom behind it. Also have a couple of bills already pinned or tied to the tree. That way people can contribute which no rmally they do without having to verbally ask. Hope this helps and BEST of Luck!!
People can go and buy 50th birthday invitations at a local card store in their local town. However on-line there are a range of sites such as Moon Pig that can help make personalised ones.

This custom allows guests to offer monetary gifts directly to the couple, often as a way to help them start their new life together. It typically involves a festive atmosphere, where guests line up to participate, and is often accompanied by music and celebration. The money dance varies in significance across cultures but generally symbolizes support and good wishes for the newlyweds.

Ask for one for your Christmas or your birthday! If that doesn't work, do chores and get money! If you do chores and don't get money anyway, (trust me I know how you feel if you do) then give your parents a perfectly good reason why need money. If none of the above works.... I can't help you.
