How much money should you give a twelve year old on their birthday?

Depending how old they are and how big the party is. if its a big party about 20 to 50 bucks. if you cant afford that just give about 20. Another cute idea is give the kid singles each dollar should represent how old they are so as an example a kid is turning twelve so give them twelve bucks and add a little gift. depending on how well you know them, give them an amount that feels right to you.

That all depends, not a question that really can be answered online. If you make good money, I find that a lot of family/friends love a new stero system, or a nice big fat %500.00Visa gift card. You only have 1 Birthday a year, I love to buy gifts and see their faces when they open their gifts. That to me is a gift of my own. :)

Just rememer it's the thought that counts and means the most, no matter what amount you spend

Whatever you feel like. You certainly shouldn't feel obligated to give a grown adult any gift at all for their birthday, though if you're a very close relative (spouse or parent) you may WANT to do so. Money in particular could be regarded as almost an insulting gift: "I know you are too much of a loser to provide for yourself even though you've been legally an adult for a decade now, so I guess I'll bail you out again."
