There is a pattern by which May 14 lands on a Mother's Day, in that, because of Leap Year, its frequency is set as follows: Our next Mother's Day will be on May 14 is 2017. Previously, it was in 2006, 2000, 1995, 1989, then 1978, and so on. So, the pattern is as follows for every 28 years: 1st (meaning present year that Mother's Day would be on May 14), 6th, 5th, 6th, then 11th year. If it wasn't for Leap Years, we would have every 7 years of May 14 landing on Mother's Day.
