According to this W Magazine article www.wmagazine.com/celebrities/2008/05/kathy_freston from May 2008, she's 43.

EDIT: In that article, she said she became vegan 3 years earlier (at age 40). That would put her birth year 1965...which is probably correct.

On the Oprah Winfrey show in February 2011, she said she'd been vegan for 7 years or, in other words, she was likely around 47-years-old on that show, if we're to believe the 40-year-old vegan conversion comment. (I'm vegan and I couldn't pinpoint exactly when I became vegan. I was vegetarian first, for many years.)

If we're to believe the Oprah comments, and base that on a 40-year-old vegan conversion, that would put her birth year at either 1963 or 1964, depending on when the Oprah show was recorded.

If the article was written in 2008, even being generous, she'd only have been a vegan for 6 years, as of February 2011. (If the show was filmed in 2010, that would mean she could only have been a vegan for 5 years.)

Let's just say that she's somewhere between 45 and 48, in all likelihood.
