The Apollo 9 mission was to test the separation and rejoining of the lunar module in earth orbit.
Apollo 10 was the fourth manned mission in the American Apollo space program. It was an F type mission - its purpose was to be a "dry run" for the Apollo 11 mission.
The last Apollo moon mission was Apollo 17, that launched on December 7 1972 and returned to Earth on December 19 1972.
Apollo 13 was a manned mission to the moon that experienced an oxygen tank explosion which severely damaged the spacecraft. The mission had to be aborted, and the crew safely returned to Earth in a dramatic rescue mission.
The following Apollo mission each brought moon rocks back to earth, they were Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17.
The final Apollo mission was Apollo 17, which took place in December 1972. Astronauts Eugene Cernan, Harrison Schmitt, and Ronald Evans were part of this mission. They completed three moonwalks and returned safely to Earth, marking the end of the Apollo program.
Apollo 11 mission to the moon will always be there in history. It showed man could really leave earth,and land on the moon and also return safely back to the earth after finishing the mission.
The first Apollo manned Apollo mission to get of the ground was Apollo 7. This 11 day mission was simply a test flight of the command and service module. The second Earth only Apollo flight was that of Apollo 9. The purpose of this flight was to test the Lunar module to make sure the descent engine and ascent engined worked flawlessly.
The Apollo 11 mission took the first earth visitors to our moon in 1969.
Apollo 13 is the mission that experienced a critical failure on its way to the moon and had to abort the mission. The crew famously managed to safely return to Earth despite the challenges they faced.
