A good birthday present idea is always depends on who is that person in your life, if you personally know him/her, think anything he/she likes, their favorites. But nice accessories,jewelry, bag, purse, with a bunch of flowers will surely be a good gift for girls.

On the other hand, I think boys will surely be glad to receive latest computer/Video Games or a good shirts will do.

I think whatever the age, if its one of your closest friends you should make a scrapbook big or small which includes memories, photos and quotes from times you've shared. I know i'd love to receive this present, good luck

I Agree on Grace :P opinion because when there older they can allways look back at that scrap book and look at all that hard work you put in to that one book of great pictures and memories!!!! or for a baby its totaly normal too get nappies and clothes! xx kat!

The best birthday gifts are those that relate to the recipient. What are their interests? If they play sports, you might buy them a sports-related gift. See SportsGifts.com. Do they like to cook? The good presents for birthdays are mostly that parents buy expensive or cheap stuff for 12 or higher years, presents:

For children: toys, something sweet, no stuff that are really small, so the kid cannot choke with the small piece, only if the child is under 3.

For teenagers: shampoo, gel, alcohol(champagne, wine...), expensive stuff like game consoles and so on...

For adults: Mostly for adults I don't know, so I recommend the same stuff for the teenagers, expect the expesnive stuff...
