any colour what so ever

The upper half of merfolk are Nordic white and often algae green. The green is probably real algae growing on them. The young maids are the cleaners ones.

Their tails reflect their species. The Tidal merfolk, the ones that frolic in the waves, are pale green marbled with even pales streaks. The marine merfolk are of a darker green with splotches of red and brown near the knees, shins and tail. The true pelagic merfolk are black mottled with purple and marbled with blue.
