Traditional foods such as turkey or ham adorn the table much like they do in the USA. Some families have large elaborate feasts while others prefer to gather and go out to eat.

Vegetables are similar such as corn, squash, carrots etc. The foods eaten are very much the same all over North America.

The Canadian Thanksgiving is observed on the second Monday in October and celebrates "The Harvest" of the crops.

The traditional Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner is composed of a Roast Turkey with stuffing or what we call "dressing" if it is cooked outside of the "bird", Mashed Potatoes, Squash in some form, Green Beans, Gravy and Cranberry Sauce (not Jelly!).

The dessert is Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Cream.
