Some families open one present on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day. Some families don't believe in giving Christmas presents at all. Some families open presents from immediate family on Christmas Eve, then travel to the house of an extended family member (perhaps grandparents) on Christmas Day and open presents from the extended family there. Maybe they go to the dad's parents' house on Christmas Eve and open packages from them there, then go to the mom's parents' house on Christmas Day and open packages from them there.Why anyone does anything is generally "because that's the way they want to do it". First, your parents will go bye you some presents and put them under the tree but not all the time and if they do say mom or dad can i open one presents on Christmas eve they might say yes or no but just beg that's what i do :)

They have to be! My mom and dad let me use their bathroom in their room because my brother was using ours and it was almost Christmas, and I saw connect 4 in their closet while i was getting a towel. Then when it was the day when you get your presents under the tree, I saw connect 4! I will tell you like I told my kids. Once you stop believing in Santa, he stops coming on Christmas Eve. So, if you don't believe you only get presents from mom and dad etc. But if you do believe you get those presents PLUS the ones from Santa. My kids are now 14 and 18 and still insist they "believe". Now every Christmas they still get gifts from Santa and their stockings are full. ;)
