Generally, finding a (non-technical) hobby that they enjoy, and finding a gift to match that hobby works.

For example, if she likes cooking, then a cooking set, cookbook, apron, bakewear etc. would make a nice gift. Mugs and coffee also make good gifts for this category.

If you have an old appliance, like a kettle or toaster, that is getting old, and should be replaced soon, then a gift of such would always be welcome.

Clothing and jewellery, if you know what kind and size of clothing she likes, would make a nice gift, as would jewellery.

Books, magazines or book vouchers are also a great gift.

If all else fails, cooking a nice meal so she doesn't have to is always welcome, as would baking a cake or cookies, taking her out for a nice meal, chocolates, or organising a picnic for her would be.

Photos, especially family photos, in a nice photo frame also work well.
