What does Santa do during the year?

Usually he sleeps for a long time. It takes a lot out of you to travel all around the world delivering presents to everyone. But after that, it is back to normal, preparing for the next Christmas, and maybe taking a short vacation with Mrs. Claus.

As the legends and myths surrounding "Father Christmas" would have it, Santa Claus does indeed keep busy when Christmas-time has come and gone. The making of presents is one of the tasks which Santa must direct, of course. At the same time, he must maintain his lists of "naughty" and "nice" children so as to know which gifts should be delivered to whom when Christmas once again arrives.

When the delivery run is done he puts the reindeer away and feeds them.

Takes a hot bath to get the ice out of his beard.

Then goes to bed.
