What does a Christmas tree mean and how is it related to Christmas?

If this question hasn't already been answered... I'll answer this question.

The true meaning of the Christmas Trees is that When Christ Died on the cross, he died
on a tree. And of course It wasn't a pine tree. But a pine tree is the only Tree that
we can use that actually has a style to it. I mean, would you want to sit around a dead
tree for Christmas? My point exactly. So there's my opinion.

It does not, it is a tradition adopted from the Pagan celebration of Yuletide on the Winter Solstice, which is close to Christmas. There is no certain account of the actual birth date of Jesus of Nazareth, so the date of Yuletide was chosen for its celebration. Many other Christmas traditions come from yuletide, such as the yule log.
