What is Christmas really about?

In a Christian's point of view, Christmas is really all about Jesus and his birthday. It should be about that and not just looking forward to opening presents but being grateful that Jesus died for us. But now there is this huge thing about father Christmas but there is no such thing and no reindeer the only reason people say it is because they like to get people buying there stuff and that. Christmas is not about presents and spending money.

It is celebrated at this time of the year because it was essentially a "Christianization" of the Roman feast known as the Saturnalia. Jesus was most likely born in the springtime. According to The Bible, Jesus was born of the Virgin Mary in a stable.
