Taraweeh is when you pray in Ramadan at the Mosque. The shaikh (Speaker) has to try to finish the whole Qur'an as well as every other muslim. You have to pray as much as you can for taraweeh.

Fasting Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam. Fasting means one to forbid himself from eating, drinking, smoking, making sex over the period from Dawn (it is the time when first light is going to appear. It is around 1 to 1 1/2 hours before sunrise) to sunset. Out of this period he is allowed to do every thing allowed in normal life (but of course not to be forbidden by religion as gambling, drinking alcohol, prostitution, etc..).
