The traditional dress of assam is Mekhela And Chadar. The makhela is a long skirt worn on the upper appeal known as 'Riha". The riha is artistically design with beautiful red color designs which gives a beautiful appeal to a complete appeal.

During bihu, the grand festival of assam the women wear there traditional outfits

made of Muga Silk or The Golden Silk.
