Rosita McMullen married Madison Lane, and Johnny MeRoy, who had also wanted to marry Rosita, got jealous and promised to kill them. He became an outlaw known as Frio Kid, cold and heartlessly killing many who crossed his path. One year at Christmas Madison Lane told hims men to shoot Frio Kid without hesitation should they see him. At the Lanes' Christmas party, Rosita was talking with some people who talked about Frio Kid. Rosita said she believed he still had some good in him. Santa Claus then told her he had left her a present in a certain room; when she got there, it was her husband, but he had no knowledge of what Santa had said. Soon after, Frio Kid was found in his Santa Claus suit to be shot dead by Lane's men. Sadly, he had had a change of heart, but Lane's men killed him that very night.
