Gas in tank can go bad, the octane can degrade. Battery can need a charge or replaced. Spark plugs can loose conductivity, should be replaced. Fuel filter should be replaced. The oil can degrade, replace it and the oil filter. If the engine does start, the piston chambers can be stuck so before starting, spay some wd40 down each spark plug hole on block to help with the free movement of the piston rings. It may blow out a cloud of blue or white smoke at first if it starts but this should stop shortly. Make sure all your fluids are full and functional. Test the breaks for any problems before hitting any public road.
