When and how are gifts exchanged?

• The bride gives her maid of honor and bridesmaids a gift. It's generally jewelry such as earrings or a locket (they could wear them at the wedding or just keep them.) The groom gives his best man a gift (although not necessary he could also give the ushers he has chosen a gift as well.)
