When did Santa Claus turn red?

His suit became red because Coca-Cola advertised him wearing their colours. He si now the modern Santa, but before that he always wore green, it's just that Coca-Cola have been around for an extremely long time (something like, almost a hundred years, I was told!)

Sometime in the 1930's they changed his image and he's always been like that since. :D

Santa, or Saint Nicholas has always worn a red cloak. He also wore cloaks of different colors like green and blue but supposedly, red was always his favorite.

I thought he was always green, and Coca Cola's advertising is what made him change to red (the portrayed him as red & white, not green & white).
