Today, Children's Day in the US is not yet a regularly observed day for children. It has been observed on different dates in the US since the mid-1800's. President Clinton authorized a Children's Day on October 11, 1998. The next proclaimed were called National Child's Day by President George W. Bush to be held during his term on the first Sunday of each June. The Governor of Illinois has established this each year since 2009 to be the second Sunday in June. It is not yet a national day in the US.
