the Index Finger
A pinky ring is worn on the pinky finger of either the right or left hand. The pinky finger is the smallest finger and located the farthest from the thumb.
The fourth finger, also known as the ring finger, is sometimes jokingly referred to as the "lady finger" in certain cultures. Its name comes from the fact that it is traditionally where a wedding ring is worn.
Signet rings are traditionally worn on the little finger of the left hand.
A family ring is traditionally worn on the ring finger of the right hand, though customs can vary by culture and personal preference. In some cultures, it may also be worn on the left hand or even on a different finger altogether. Ultimately, the choice of finger for a family ring is a personal decision.
The engagement ring is traditionally worn on the fourth finger of the left hand, also known as the ring finger. This tradition is based on the belief that the vein in this finger, called the 'vena amoris' or the 'vein of love,' is directly connected to the heart.
I'll describe: on the left hand (counting from the thumb {as 1 thumb, 2 index finger, 3 middle finger, and then the fourth is where you wear the ring on})
A wedding ring is worn on what is known as the ring finger, which is the one adjacent to the pinkie or smallest finger, on the left hand. and the direction doesnt matter. :P
why shouldn't a ring be worn on a pinky finger? if you like it do it as long as its not a safety risk at work.
There is no specific finger that a purity ring must be worn on. It is a personal choice. Most people choose to wear it on their ring finger on their left hand, similar to a wedding ring, but it can be worn on any finger.
If you wear both a wedding ring and an engagement ring on the same finger, the eternity ring can go either above or below them. Traditionally, it’s worn on the same finger (the ring finger of your left hand), stacked either below the wedding ring or on top of the engagement ring. The choice depends on your preference and comfort.
Eternity rings, having evolved from wedding rings, are also worn on the "ring finger", which is normally the third finger of the left hand.
you can but a wedding ring is really the only ring that's supposed to be worn on your left finger... on your right ring finger it is fine though
