Lent reflects the 40 days in which Jesus was in the wilderness to be tempted by Satan. It teaches them to show resistance to temptation.they believe that by eating less and giving up their favourite things, they could focus most of their time on god.
by doing this, they become more strong willed and resisst all temptation. some churches organise lunch for christains in order t help charitiies as they give up their lunch money to charity. this shows jesus's love they are potrying on earth.
lent is also important to christians because it's a time where they could mend their broken relationship with God by showing that they are truly sorry for their sins and by having ashes from last years palm sunday on their forehead
Because they were used as a sign for christians.
Christians dont really "have" Lent its more like a tradition. Christians are preparing for the Death and Resurection of Jesus Christ
the holiday important as christmas is lent a piriot of 40-day
If they are Christians, you don't need to be a certain nationality to celebrate lent.
