no fast is broken by: drinking or eating anything,
doing sex,
if during vomiting some of it goes inside your stomach,
if anything goes into your blood like injecting some medicine or etc
if you smoke or take any other drug


the point is that during the fast you take nothing to ease or comfort your metabolism, need not be necessarily in the form of food or drink.
