The best bike for a short female rider is typically a bike with a smaller frame size and a lower standover height to ensure a comfortable and safe fit. Look for bikes labeled as "women's" or "step-through" models, as they are designed with shorter riders in mind. Headlights mounted on the rider's head or helmet work best in that they allow the rider to look directly at incoming vehicles so that the driver is sure to see the light. Bike riders can also get a horn in order to alert cars that are backing up and which may be unable to see the bike rider. Bike riders can also yell or wave at an upcoming vehicle.
