Well now, there's a funny story about that. Many years ago, the University of North Carolina did a study to find out which of its degree programs had the highest-paid alumni. They found out the Sociology program did...because Michael Jordan, the Basketball star who just made the list of American billionaires, was a Sociology student.

Seriously tho, making "the most" money is highly overrated because once you get to a certain point there's no way you can spend it all. And the best-paid professions come with a lot of drawbacks. For example, pediatric oncologists make a ton of money...but the job is treating children with cancer. Alaska King Crab fishing boat captains make an outrageous amount of money if they catch a lot of crabs, but the price of entry is ownership of a $10 million boat that burns a thousand gallons of diesel a day and the fatality rate is more outrageous than the money. NFL football players make tons of money, but it's almost impossible to become one, even harder to keep the job once you have it, and they're always getting injured.

The important thing is finding a job you would enjoy doing, that provides you with enough money to live the way you would like to.
