The bike pedal may not screw in properly due to a stripped thread on the pedal or crank arm, incorrect threading direction, or dirt/debris in the threads.
The motor simply wont get enough fuel to run properly.

The brake light switch might not be connected properly. Remove the brake light switch for 10 seconds and replace it to its original position.
